Nahezu jeder Mensch mit einem Stoma nennt Leckagen als eine der größten Sorgen im Alltag. Das kann auch die Belastungen für Fachkräfte erhöhen.

 

Emotionale Auswirkungen von Leckagen

Die negativen Emotionen, die mit Leckagen verbunden sind, besonders in der Öffentlichkeit, veranlassen viele Patienten, ihre sozialen Aktivitäten einzuschränken und sich selbst zu isolieren.1

  • Sie neigen auch eher dazu, ihre Stomafachkraft zu kontaktieren und verwenden mehr Basisplatten und Zubehörprodukte. 1,4
  • 92% der Menschen mit einem Stoma machen sich über Leckagen Gedanken.1

  • Von Patienten mit einem Ileo- oder Kolostoma mit flüssigen bis breiigen Ausscheidungen
  • Von Patienten, die mindestens 12 Jahre alt sind
  • Von Patienten, die sich Sorgen um Leckagen machen
  • Von Patienten, die unter Leckagen unter- und/oder außerhalb ihrer Basisplatte leiden
  • Von Patienten, die ein Android- oder Apple-Smartphone haben
